About this Job
The Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) is seeking a motivatedCoastal Resources Program Specialistto join the General Services section in the Executive Division. This position provides support by managing the agency’s vehicle and marine fleet and assisting with inventory and property management. In addition to being self-motivated, the ideal candidate will possess an acute attention to detail, and will be able to use their organizational skills to help prioritize their work.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in an environmental program; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Assists with vehicle and marine fleet management
+ Maintains and gathers paperwork required for vehicle and marine fleet purchases
+ Maintains monthly vehicle logs
+ Runs GPS tracking reports
+ Maintains employee boater safety certifications
+ Runs driving records
+ Gathers police reports and other paperwork required for Office of Risk Management insurance claims
+ Assists with inventory and property management
+ Manages the tracking and surplus of departmental inventory
+ Conducts an annual physical inventory
+ Completes Title 39 procurement requests
+ Pays invoices with a state issued purchasing card
+ Gathers and distributes information regarding new state issued emergency contracts
+ Maintains Excel spreadsheets of agency owned software licenses and obtains quotes for new equipment
+ Coordinates with The Office of Telecommunication Services (OTS) to resolve computer and phone related issues
+ Assists upper-level staff with:
+ Purchase orders, ordering supplies or any other routine purchases
+ Monitoring supply inventory
+ Attends departmental and other state agency meeting and conferences to stay abreast of changes in departmental processes and state laws

Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Coastal Resources Program Specialist 1, Coastal Resources Program Specialist 2, or Coastal Resources Program Specialist 3 depending on level of experience.

Compensation: The maximum salary for the Coastal Resources Program Specialist 3 is $78,624 annually.
There are special bi-weekly entrance rates established for this position:
Coastal Resources Program Specialist 1 $1,672.80
Coastal Resources Program Specialist 2 $1,789.60
Coastal Resources Program Specialist 3 $1,915.20
* If filled as a Job Appointment, there is a possibility that this position may later be converted to a Probational Appointment should funding become available.
