Position Overview

The Fiber Groundperson is a key player in the field and assits the Lineman with every day responsibilities on the job site.

Job Duties

Assists Fiber Lineman with day to day operations in the field including supplying appropriate tools, lowering ropes, limbs and persons from aloft.

Controlling road and sidewalk traffic as needed by use of warning devices and other methods.

Cutting, chipping and loading brush and wood and proper job site cleanup.

Construction work required to install underground/overhead fiber.

Qualifications

Required

Valid driver's license.

Preferred

Prior experience working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Prior experience working in the Utility industry.

Highschool Diploma.
