    Program Manager and On Track Champion

    Position Description:

    Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

    Major/Essential Functions:

    + Engage directly with priority students, identified through Raider Success Hub and other prioritization strategies, to provide individualized support and co-create success plans that address academic, social, or personal challenges.

    + Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address student success challenges in real time through individualized support, resource connection, and creative intervention.

    + Partner with academic colleges, success specialists, and student support areas to stay informed on university resources, address student needs, and provide warm hand-offs or referrals.

    + Maintain awareness of key student populations and trends that inform the work, including but not limited to New to Texas Tech students and those outside of Good Academic Standing.

    + Utilize Raider Success Hub to monitor, communicate with, and support special populations of potentially at-risk students alongside the student success team.

    + Share observations and creative feedback from daily student interactions to inform ongoing improvements in outreach strategies, resource delivery, and intervention approaches.

    + Maintain accurate, timely records within Raider Success Hub to ensure data integrity, effective follow-up, and coordinated communication across departments.

    + Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay informed of best practices in student success, engagement, and retention.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field.

    + Two (2) years of experience working with students in a college or university, or education-adjacent role.

    + Two (2) years working with college students in an advising or student support capacity.

    + Two (2) years of experience with case load management.

    + Experience working with or leading academic success initiatives, workshops, or events.

    + Experience with data management, tracking, analysis, and reporting

    + Knowledge of student development theory or best practices.

    + Skill in PC operating systems and Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    + Ability to communicate with a broad variety of individuals such as students, faculty, and staff.

    + Ability to utilize and manage case management and maintenance practices.

    + Knowledge of special students' populations, such as first year, transfer students, students on academic recovery, or first-gen college students.

    + Skill in student development and intervention support strategies

    Annualized Pay Range:

    $44,500 - $57,900 - $71,200
