    The Senior Field Service Technician independently manages complex field service and repair needs for the McNeilus Volterra ZSL Electric Refuse Collection Vehicle. This includes performing technical installations, advanced diagnostics, and equipment servicing. The Senior Field Service Technicians will also provide on-site customer training, supports critical issue resolution, and leads or mentor less experienced technicians. This role also contributes to design feedback, documentation, and improvement initiatives.

    YOUR IMPACT

    _These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned:_

    + Conduct all aspects of advance repairs on all Volterra ZSL Electric Refuse Collection Vehicle

    + Train other technicians by assisting them with troubleshooting and accurate way of searching for parts.

    + Inspect and troubleshoot different types of vehicles to determine a resolution.

    + Assist technicians with Quality Control issues when necessary.

    + Continuously maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.

    + Maintain one's own service truck maintained in good working order, clean and presentable.

    + Represent the company with professionalism in all customer-facing interactions.

    + Maintain detailed records of service work, customer interactions, and parts usage.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    + **High School Diploma or GED** and **five (5)** or more years of relevant experience in machine assembly, light fabrication; or previous relevant contracting experience with Oshkosh Corporation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the role _._

    + Valid driver’s license must be maintained at all times.

    + Ability to possess a DOT card.

    + Strong mechanical and technical skills, with demonstrated customer relationship and communication strengths.

    + Ability to travel up to 80%

    STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

    + Experience as a Field Service Technician.

    + Experience with welding and hydraulic systems.

    + Experience in mentoring and training others.

    + High Voltage Certification

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    _The following represents general working conditions for this role. Specific conditions may vary depending on business needs and individual circumstances._

     

    + This role combines office-based administrative duties with physical activity in field or production environments.

    + In the office setting, tasks may require extended computer use, sitting, and attending meetings.

    + Field or floor work may involve walking across various terrains or shop floors, standing, moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing stairs, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.

    + Must be able to shift focus between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks as needed.

    Pay Range:

    $72,200.00 - $116,200.00

     

    The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
