We have an outstanding Contract position for aStock Clerkto join a leading Company located in theVan Nuys, CAsurrounding area.

Pay Rate: $18 - $21

Performs various types of product packing and shipping in accordance with established procedures and/or commercial standards; receives and stocks incoming equipment, materials, and supplies, and prepares shipments.

Responsibilities :

+ Processes all inbound and outbound shipments, including but not limited to sorting, logging, delivering, packing, and shipping

+ Audits each shipment prior to packing to ensure that goods match the order

+ Packs and labels products based on established standards

+ Ensures that proper equipment, documents, and accessories are shipped with the correct order

+ Prepares shipping and receiving documentation and maintains orderly files for all documentation

+ Participates in the scheduling of daily transportation

+ Processes all receiving transactions and paperwork

+ Inspects all incoming freight for damage and follows up with purchasing to resolve any damaged freight issues

+ Operates forklift and pallet jack

+ Assists in responses to requests for tracing of missing shipments

+ Assists in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in the shipping area

+ Performs required administrative tasks and prepares required reports and correspondence

+ Performs other duties as assigned by the manager

Basic Hiring Criteria :

+ High school diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years of experience

+ Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant experience

+ Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomy

+ Duties are clearly defined, and methods and tasks are described in detail

+ Computer Skills: Familiar with the Windows Operating System- and with MRP systems is strongly desired
