_About the Opportunity_
This is an open position with FirstEnergy Pennsylvania Electric Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp.

This position can be located in Altoona or Lewistown.
**Responsibilities** :
Under direct or general supervision regularly and customarily performs important or difficult clerical or other office work. Work of this grade might include any one or more of the following, or other work of comparable character or difficulty, with related and incidental work:
+ Makes complex compilations of business data; computes unit costs or makes ordinary statistical analyses from such material.
+ Controls the flow of routine work by assignment and checking its completion.
+ Does exacting bookkeeping, such as posting and distributions requiring a ready working knowledge of uniform system of account, or requiring considerable familiarity with the terminology of technical operations and with the functions and composition of units of property.
+ Consolidates, completes, or audits the work of those providing assistance, and maintains adequate accounting controls on the accuracy of their work.
+ Verifies, checks or audits work originating in the same or other departments.
+ Conducts correspondence or deals with the public personally in non-routine matters of minor or moderate importance.
+ Acts as understudy or administrative assistant to an executive or specialist.
+ Plans work for and operates complex office machinery, such as tabulating machines.
+ Directs and instructs clerks of lower grade.
+ Accurate and timely entry of payroll and material invoices
The above is indicative of the grade of work required of a Senior Clerk. In addition, assignment may be made to any other work of equal or lesser skill within the capabilities of the individual, to meet emergencies or other operating needs.
**Qualifications** :
+ High School Diploma or GED Required
+ Must pass company SASS test
+ Must have a valid Driver's License
EEI Testing
We administer selection tests for a variety of positions. The required tests have been developed by the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), a trade association of investor-owned electric utility companies. We strongly encourage potential employees to review all information, including the sample test brochures, and to use the available practice tests before taking the actual tests.
