You will perform a variety of tasks which involve the receiving, storing, and stocking within the warehouse backroom for the Navy Exchange Lemoore. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves the best customer – our Military patrons and their families. So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed? · Receives and unloads incoming merchandise deliveries. · Pulls merchandise in accordance with established procedures for shipment, transfers, or customer orders as applicable. · Operates motor vehicle and forklift in performance of daily duties. The Qualifiers: · Must possess a valid state driver’s license or a valid commercial driver’s license CDL · Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to operate a motor vehicle safely. · Must be able to pass appropriate background checks needed for the specific area of responsibility e.g. Federal DOD Security Clearance etc. · Pass the GSA defensive driving course. Be available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE One year of high school education may be substituted for 3 months of experience up to a High School Diploma or GED for 12 months of experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Walks stoops bends and stands for a long period of time. May lift and carry boxes weighing up to 40lbs and sometimes over 50lbs with assistance. Uses push carts to transport merchandise. Climbs ladders to pull stock stock shelves and bins. Uses sharp instrument to break open boxes.
