    Role Overview:

    We're seeking a Senior Director level team member for our Los Angeles, California office to support complex construction dispute resolution and advisory projects. The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of relevant experience in claims consulting to serve as a key technical expert and client relationship manager for our growing practice.

    Responsibilities:

    + Analyze project schedule delays, cost overruns, and productivity issues related to design and construction.

    + Develop advanced computer models of schedules and costs using various software packages, focusing on Primavera P6.

    + Research and analyze project cost records and financial statements, including reconciling claim amounts to accounting systems.

    + Prepare comprehensive client communications and technical work product, coordinating with senior team members and serving as the engagement leader.

    + Lead engagement planning, including proposal and budget development.

    + Oversee data gathering activities, including document review and ensuring quality control of deliverables.

    Requirements:

    + Education: Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred).

    + Experience: 7+ years of construction and engineering disputes/claims consulting experience is mandatory.

    + Technical Skills: Proficiency with Primavera Project Planner is required; advanced P6 skills are highly preferred.

    + Dispute Background: Proven experience in damages analysis and investigative work focused on contractual disputes and litigation.

    + Software: Expert in MS Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.

    + Communication: Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

    Preferred:

    + Professional certifications (PE, PMP, CCM, or equivalent) strongly preferred.

    + Prior experience in on-site construction environments or with international projects.

     

    For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, or New York, Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said markets and takes into account a broad range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Ankura, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range is between $110,000 to $240,000; this range is not a promise of a particular wage.
