Job Description
We are seeking a skilled DevOps / System Administrator to join one of our top defense customers digital technology team. This role focuses on supporting and maintaining DevOps tools and environments, ensuring reliability, and driving best practices across engineering teams. The position involves troubleshooting, optimizing processes, and assisting with tool migrations. Candidates should have strong Linux system administration experience and a passion for improving efficiency and automation.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Tool Maintenance & Reliability: Maintain and troubleshoot DevOps tools and platforms, apply updates and patches, and develop fault-tolerance and disaster recovery plans.
• User Support: Provide technical assistance to developers and IT operations teams, resolve support tickets, and diagnose issues.
• Incident Management: Monitor systems, respond to incidents promptly, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
• Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for tool usage and troubleshooting.
• Training: Develop training materials and conduct sessions to ensure effective tool usage.
• Integration Support: Assist with integrating new tools into existing pipelines for smooth operations.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and optimize tool performance for efficiency and reliability.
• Customization & Automation: Develop scripts, templates, and dashboards to support automation and customization needs.
This position will beonsite in Woburn, MA and will be supporting classified environments thus requiring an active secret clearance.
Compensation: $55hr to $75/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 6+ years in relevant roles
• Strong Linux system administration experience / Redhat Linux
• Hands-on experience with server-based DevOps tools (e.g., Jira, Git, BitBucket, GitLab, Confluence, Jenkins, IBM Rational, Azure DevOps Server)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies • Experience with legacy tools (ClearCase, Synergy, SVN).
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.).
• Exposure to engineering tools (MATLAB, Visual Studio, VxWorks, QT, Python, DOORS).
• Knowledge of relational databases and backup/validation processes (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Windows system administration experience.
