Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Wireless RF Technician I to join our clients team in Kenai, Alaska. This role involves travel throughout Alaska. This position is responsible for installing, testing, and performing operational site acceptance for wireless equipment. Duties include installation, adjustment, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of RF transmission lines, antennas, and related equipment such as microwave systems, tower radios, fiber cabling, and lighting systems. Provide remote technical support via phone, CLI, and ticketing tools, and operate test equipment for corrective tasks on towers, antennas, cabling, and grounding systems. Support RF engineering and optimization projects through pre- and post-adjustments and statistical analysis. Conduct site audits, maintain logs, update cell site and tower information, and ensure compliance with FAA, FCC, and company standards.

Skills and Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associates Degree in electronics, telecommunications trade school, or equivalent training.
• 2 years of experience in a field operations telecommunications industry or 4 years without a degree.
• Including a minimum of 1 year in wireless telecommunications, wireless site construction, or related field.
• Upon hire will be required to obtain and maintain tower climber certification • Ericsson, Linux, Unix, Cisco IOS, command line interface, Secure Shell, and File Transfer Protocol.
• Knowledge of RF propagation principles and concepts such as UMTS/HSPA, CDMA/EVDO, LTE, and microwave.
• Prior certification as a tower climber
