The Navigation & Sensor Systems (NSS) product line has an opening for a Principal Contract Administrator in support of multiple programs of a Commercial and Other Transactional Authority (OTA) nature. Join a dynamic Contracts team that supports the delivery of mission critical capabilities across a diverse portfolio. The position is based out of our Cedar Rapids, IA facility and will support several USG Customers and prime contractors involving development and production contracts with varying contract types.

You will represent the enterprise as the prime contact on contractual matters and be responsible for managing customer relationships, creating innovative solutions, negotiating contracts and other agreements such as non-disclosure agreements. In this role, you will interact with senior internal and external personnel on matters requiring coordination to successfully execute and deliver on our commitments. The successful candidate will lead all contracting activities with minimal supervision.
Significant responsibilities for this Principle Contracts Administrator position will include, but not be limited to:
+ Development of a collaborative day-to-day contractual relationship with our customers.
+ interpret and communicate business commitments and alternatives to the program team and management.
+ Coordinating, negotiating, and managing moderately complex proposals and contracts with minimal supervision.
+ Providing value-added analysis of solicitation terms and conditions, identifying risks and mitigation alternatives, and providing other pointed contributions for proposal development;
+ Resolving challenging contractual issues through work with program teams to gather, interpret, analyze and present information and solutions.
+ Negotiating and administering Non-Disclosure, Teaming, and other Agreements in accordance with corporate policies and procedures, and coordinating legal reviews as appropriate;
+ Working collaboratively across all areas of the business to meet contractual requirements;
+ Examining performance and contractual deliverables/requirements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to bid specifications and contract terms;
+ Advising on contractual rights and obligations in accordance with contract terms, FAR/DFARS and other regulations;
+ Performing research and providing sound business advice and counsel to Program and functional leads in accordance with bid specifications, FAR/DFARS requirements, contractual terms and conditions, and internal policies and procedures in furtherance of program execution;
+ Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures as well as all legal, regulatory, and customer requirements.
+ Supporting moderately complex assignments requiring independent action and initiative.
+ Compiling and maintaining official records for all assigned proposals, contracts, and agreements.
+ This position requires an extensive knowledge of government contracting methods, applicable laws and regulations and the ability to develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with a variety of internal and external customers.
To be successful in the position, you will require a comprehensive knowledge of business agreements, government and commercial contracting methods, including policies, procedures and regulations. The role requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgement and demonstration of leadership in contracting strategy and methods, to include proficiency in research and presentation skills. You will regularly contribute to the development and implementation of new business methods, processes and contracting concepts in order to achieve business unit and Contracts department goals and objectives.
This will be a hybrid position with the expectation the selected candidate will be onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA three times a week.

+ Ability to focus on closure and achieve results
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor Degree plus six years experience in a contracts function or equivalent.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Master's Degree Preferred
Active US Secret Clearance preferred
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $90373 - $153634
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
