Registered Nurse (BSN, RN) – Health Services Manager – $84,525/year

SUMMARY
Supervises two or more RNs and/or LPNs/LVNs including interviewing, hiring, and scheduling, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitors the health and medical condition of individuals served. Manages the administration of medications, performance of physicals, provision of treatments, and scheduling of medical appointments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:
+ Plans and organizes activities in nursing services, to ensure patient needs are met in accordance with instructions of physician and the facility’s administrative procedures.
+ Manages the administration of medications, performance of physicals, provision of treatments, and scheduling of medical appointments.
+ Evaluates nursing activities to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.
+ Observes nursing care and visits patients to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed and that treatment is administered in accordance with physician's instructions.
+ Inspects patient facilities for cleanliness and comfort.
+ Orders, or directs ordering of drugs, solutions, and equipment, and maintains records on narcotics.
+ Investigates and resolves complaints, and refers unusual problems to superior.
+ Plans and organizes orientation and in-service training for unit staff members, and participates in guidance and educational programs.
+ Performs other related duties and activities as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs and supervises two or more RNs or LPNs including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities.
Minimum Knowledge and Skills required by the Job
_The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job:_
_Education and Experience:_
+ If supervising RNs, must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school or nursing program and have three years of related experience.
+ If supervising only LPNs/LVNs, must have an associate’s degree from a two year college or technical school and have two years of related experience.
_Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:_
+ Must have a current state RN license if supervising RNs.
_Blood Borne Pathogen Category:_
+ Job requires performance of duties that involve potential for exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Tasks that do involve exposure are an expectation of employment.

_Physical Requirements:_
+ **Medium Work.** Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
