    Job Description

    A client in the Vancouver, Wa area is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team. This position will be full time/direct hire and will be 5 days on-site, therefore we are looking for someone who enjoys being onsite in a collaborative environment. As a Data Engineer, you will be working with the Data Team and be responsible for Data Engineering as well as Data Operations and maintaining what has been engineered. In this position the tools and technologies you will be working with include, but are not limited to: Python, SQL, ETL processes, APIs (not building but calling APIs), SQL development, working with integrations of 3rd party systems, and assisting on a project to build out a data lake to organize their data. In this role this team is doing data migrations from different systems, 3rd party integrations, building a data lake as data is currently coming from different sources and they want to streamline the process.     Skills and Requirements

     

    2-3 years of professional experience with SQL Server development, 30% of your time will be spent in SQL

     

    which includes: writing stored procedures, CTE, building indexes, running queries, and reading queries

     

    3+ years of experience working with ETL; building tables

     

    3+ years of experience with Python writing scripts

     

    3-4+ years of experience with Excel and Power BI supporting the infrastructure for the data structure, not building reports, but supporting data that is performant and correct

     

    Experience with APIs Experience with AI: Copilot, Claude code, etc.

    Azure experience

    Familiar with Star Schema or Snowflake Schema

     

    NetSuite, HubSpot, Pento, Salesforce,3rd party integrations
