Position Summary: The HR Generalist (or Coordinator) plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This position is responsible for processing employee transactions, maintaining HRIS data integrity, generating and distributing reports for internal stakeholders, and supporting compliance and onboarding functions including I-9 documentation and background checks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
+ Employee Transactions & HRIS Management:
+ Process employee life cycle transactions (hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, etc.) in the HRIS.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS and personnel files.
+ Perform routine audits of HRIS data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
+ Reporting & Data Distribution:
+ Generate and distribute recurring and ad-hoc HR reports to various departments including Finance, Payroll, Legal, and others.
+ Assist with data collection and reporting needs for internal departments.
+ Compliance & Recordkeeping:
+ Ensure completion and proper retention of I-9 forms in accordance with federal regulations.
+ Maintain compliance with company policies and federal/state employment laws.
+ Assist with audits and ensure accurate documentation practices.
+ Background Checks & Onboarding Support:
+ Coordinate and process background checks for new hires and applicable employees, as needed.
+ + Support onboarding activities and documentation as needed.
+ HR Projects & Surveys:
+ Assist with the preparation, distribution, and collection of employee surveys and other HR-related initiatives.
+ Support other HR projects and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
+ 2+ years of experience in an HR support or coordinator role.
+ Working knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., Paycom, Workday, ADP, UKG, etc.).
+ Familiarity with federal and state employment laws, especially I-9 and E-Verify regulations.
+ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle confidential information.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
+ Experience with employee surveys or engagement tools.
+ Exposure to HR metrics and data analysis.
