Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a IT SPECIALIST (SYSTEMS ANALYSIS) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD2466000 and is part of the TN 134th ARW, Air National Guard. This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 114 (Smoky Mountain Chapter). Responsibilities As an IT SPECIALIST (SYSTEM ANALYSIS), GS-2210-11, you will plan work to be accomplished, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work of the full range of cyberspace systems. Analyze complex processes and/or a variety of unusual problems, questions or conditions relative to the design and/or selection of management information systems and applications software technology. Develop feasibility studies and participate in special projects to maintain required programs and support the needs of the user. Perform as a technical advisor to leaders or managers of IT systems. Represent the organization at meetings and conferences, present briefings and establish/maintain effective work relationships at various command levels. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E-5 through O-4 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, and/or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled you to understand the stages required to automate a work process; experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade or 36 months of experience or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization; experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls; experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. If you're using education alone to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements listed below: For GS-11 - the education requirement is Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
