    Description

    SAIC is seeking rising junior or seniors to join the Ground-Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) for the summer of 2026, GMASS has a Hardware Engineering internship position available. These interns will be performing systems support, design, and sustainment activities on a government radar system. This position will be in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

    Roles and responsibilities potentially include:

    + Work side-by-side with subject matter experts to document and update legacy hardware and software systems.

    + Perform electrical and mechanical (signal, power & thermal) analysis at the rack level.

    + Review and assess requirements, diagrams, and documents.

    + Perform generation of engineering drawings.

    + Develop modeling and simulation using MATLAB and STK.

    Areas of Technical Interest:

    + Systems principal architecture knowledge.

    + Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

    + System integration, test, and development.

    + Knowledge of networking tcp/ip, firewalls.

    + Cloud computing understanding (AWS, Azure, etc.).

    Qualifications

    + Pursuit of BS or MS in a STEM related degree field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.

    + Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

    + ****Must be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance. NOTE: Federal law requires U.S. citizenship to obtain a clearance.**
