_PeaceHealth is seeking an experienced Nurse Midwife to join our team in Ketchikan, Alaska!_

Experience Ketchikan, Alaska - a friendly, family-oriented community in scenic Southeast Alaska. Entrance to the famed Inside passage, Ketchikan is on an island accessible by air or ferry and boasts an incredibly rich native culture. The southern tip of the panhandle is known as the “Salmon Capital of the World.”

Practice Highlights

+ Provides direct clinical services and management of mothers and babies as defined in the standing orders, policies, procedures and protocols for the certified nurse midwife.

+ Obtain patient health histories and complete physical examinations. Document findings noting pertinent normal and abnormal findings. Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests.

+ Perform approved therapeutic procedures based upon patient’s clinical status. Document patient preparation and response to procedure(s).

+ Collaborate with physician and nursing colleagues and document in medical records and appropriate narrative summaries.

+ Educator Assess educational needs, plan, provide, and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff, interdisciplinary healthcare team, and community.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Our Trauma IV emergency department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, staffed by physicians who are independent contractors employed by National Emergency Services (NES)._

+ _Guaranteed first-year income, based on a 1.0 FTE and years of direct experience (0-3, 3-5, 5-9, 10+)_

+ _Relocation stipend based on miles between locations_

+ _Education Loan Reimbursement program (if applicable and eligible)_

+ _CME: up to $3,800 per calendar year for CME and/or professional dues/fees (based on 1.0 FTE; prorated for lower FTE)_
