Salary starting at $28.00+ DOE
As a maintenance technician you will be responsible for carrying out the maintenance processes of the property, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance, while adhering to regulations, security protocols, and healthcare standards.
Essential Functions:
1. Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
2. Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
3. Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards or facility issues.
4. Document all maintenance work performed, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
5. Assist in maintaining an inventory of maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment.
6. Provide support for special projects, facility upgrades, and renovations as needed.
7. Collaborate with security team to ensure all maintenance activities align with facility regulations and procedures.
8. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
9. Follow all OSHA, EPA, local, state, and federal guidelines for workplace safety and environmental regulations.
10. It is expected the incumbent will work overtime when directed to do so.
11. Regular and predictable attendance required.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational training in maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare, correctional, or institutional setting. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
Post Hire Requirements:
Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements to include physical agility test and pass an annual background check.
