Overview
PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Sr Analyst, Loyalty Data & Reporting Analytics at our Tysons, Virginia location. The Senior Analyst of Loyalty Data, Reporting and Analytics will support the enterprise-wide loyalty program by providing in-depth data analysis, insightful reporting, and advanced analytics to drive program optimization and member-centric decisions. Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President of Loyalty Program Strategy and Operations, this role focuses on transforming raw member data into actionable intelligence, monitoring key metrics, and ensuring data-driven strategies enhance engagement, retention, and overall program performance. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented analytics expert with a strong background in financial services data, capable of leveraging tools and methodologies to deliver high-impact insights that align with PenFed.

+ Own and conduct the comprehensive analysis of PenFed member data, including behavior patterns, transaction history, and engagement metrics, to identify trends and opportunities for loyalty program improvements.
+ Develop and maintain robust reporting dashboards and visualizations using analytics tools to track program performance indicators such as enrollment rates, redemption activity, and retention impacts.
+ Collaborate with the AVP and cross-functional teams to define data requirements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and measurement frameworks that support strategic program objectives.
+ Perform advanced statistical analysis and predictive modeling to forecast member loyalty trends, segment audiences, and personalize incentive recommendations.
+ Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of loyalty program features through A/B testing, ROI calculations, and cost-benefit analyses to inform operational adjustments.
+ Ensure data integrity and compliance by managing data collection processes, adhering to privacy standards and conducting regular audits for accuracy and security.
+ Prepare detailed reports and presentations on analytics findings, including visualizations and executive summaries, for delivery to leadership and stakeholders.
+ Integrate data from multiple sources, such as SFDC, digital platforms, and external partners, to create unified datasets for holistic program insights.
+ Stay abreast of industry benchmarks, competitor analytics, and emerging data technologies to recommend innovations in loyalty reporting and analytics practices.
+ Support budget management by analyzing program costs, forecasting resource needs based on data trends, and evaluating financial impacts of loyalty initiatives.
+ Assist in vendor evaluations and partnerships by accessing data capabilities, integration feasibility, and performance metrics of potential analytics tools or reward providers.
+ Mentor others and contribute to team knowledge sharing on best practices in data handling, reporting tools, and loyalty-specific analytics methodologies.
Qualifications
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
+ Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, business analytics, finance, or a related field required; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Google Data Analytics, Tableau Certified) preferred.
+ Minimum of five (5) years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence, ideally within financial services, loyalty programs, or customer analytics.
+ Proven expertise in analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python/R for data manipulation, and advanced Excel for complex modeling and visualization.
+ Strong understanding of data privacy regulations, compliance standards, and ethical data practices relevant to member information in financial institutions.
+ Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning basics, and segmentation techniques to derive insights from large datasets.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
+ Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Teams) to support cross-functional initiatives.
+ Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication skills, including the ability to create compelling reports, dashboards, and presentations tailored to various audiences.
+ Knowledge of loyalty program metrics, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and fintech trends in data analytics.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, with a proactive approach to supporting strategic goals and operational needs.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will not supervise employees.
Licenses and Certifications
Certification in analytics or related fields (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional) is a plus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Travel
Ability to travel to various worksites, industry events, and be on-call is required.
