The Electronic Warfare and Airborne Sensors department within the Space and Air Sensors; Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities (SE&TC) organization has an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge Electronic Warfare (EW) technology for a suite of products across multiple programs. This position supports a variety of activities including but not limited to architecture development, requirements management, and development oversight for signal processing systems and software defined RF systems (radar, communications, and/or EW).

What You Will Do:

+ Understand the customer’s architecture needs and desired capabilities and participate in requirements decomposition to ensure appropriate allocation of technical architecture elements.

+ Develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges in signal processing design.

+ Create or modify existing electronic warfare signal processing and control algorithms.

+ Develop and execute test plans, including test simulations and lab tests to verify system capability.

+ Evaluate and assess functional performance of developmental RF systems, including signal processing subsystems, and firmware/control algorithms.

+ Provide labor and material cost estimates in support of bid and proposal activities, as required.

+ Balances competing priorities and tasks

Qualifications You Must Have:

+ Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Engineering, Physics or Computer Science (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience

+ RF system design, digital and analog signal processing, waveform and signal modulation characteristics and analysis, and/or algorithm implementation and testing.

+ System architecture definition and requirements derivation, allocation, and management

+ Experience developing trade studies, system models, simulation, and/other forms of analysis to predict system performance, ensuring design optimization

+ Support business travel, up to 20% or less, as required

+ Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

+ Development, implementation, and test of RF jamming algorithms

+ MATLAB, Python, C++, PathWave ADS, and/or PathWave EMPro for simulation and design of RF systems

+ RF receiver/exciter product design, development, and/or test experience in electronic warfare systems

+ Understanding of embedded systems and embedded programming.

+ Experience implementing digital signal processing solutions on embedded processors and digital hardware

+ Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools (eg Cameo or similar)

+ DOORS for requirements management

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
