    Position Overview:

    The Application Support Delivery Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

    Responsibilities:

    + Proven ability to translate high-level goals into actionable technical plans, manage priorities, and balance short-term deliverables with long-term strategic initiatives.

    + Demonstrated track record of successfully managing the full program lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and tracking progress across multiple engineering teams.

    + Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), engineering best practices, and the ability to dive into technical details when necessary (e.g., reviewing design documents, understanding API specifications).

    + Strong proficiency in various project and program management methodologies, with a proven track record of successfully applying Agile (Scrum) principles in complex technical environments. Familiarity with Waterfall or hybrid approaches where applicable.

    + Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts, program status, risks, and decisions to diverse audiences with varying technical backgrounds, and influence decision-making at various organizational levels.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a history of implementing effective contingency plans and driving resolution of critical issues.

    + Experience in establishing operational excellence, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of accountability and learning within technical teams.

    + Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to create clear dashboards, status reports, and presentations that provide actionable insights.

    + Innate ability to anticipate challenges, demonstrate servant leadership, and proactively drive solutions that empower teams to focus on execution.

    + Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, negotiate effectively, align diverse interests, and drive consensus across organizational boundaries.

    + Experience in evaluating third-party solutions, defining technical requirements for external integrations, and ensuring seamless collaboration to meet program needs.

    + Management responsibility for a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

    + Performs other duties and functions as assigned

    + Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

    Qualifications:

    + Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in technical roles, with at least 3-5 years in a direct leadership or senior management capacity, specifically overseeing end-to-end technical delivery, or large-scale technical programs.

    + Expert-level proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, particularly Jira (including advanced features, reporting, and dashboard creation), and familiarity with other platforms like Confluence, Asana, or similar delivery performance tracking systems.

    + Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, ITIL Expert) preferred.

    + Senior to advanced level experience in an Apps Support role with commensurate experience in people management.

    + Experience with senior stakeholder management and ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders

    + Project management with demonstrable results in improving IT services

    + Capacity Planning/Forecasting exposure a plus

    + Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams

    + Ability to plan and organize workload

    + Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
