Safety Coordinator will provide interpretation, analysis, and support of programs related projects, and processes which support the health and safety management system for the Parts Division for our distribution and manufacturing operations in the USA. This role may spend 50% of their shift on the warehouse floor making safety observations, conducting incident investigations, interviewing employees, and training individuals on safety procedures.

**In addition, you will** :

+ Participate in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes to reduce workplace hazards.

+ Conduct incident investigations and ergonomic reviews and assist in determining effective corrective action.

+ Compile and analyze necessary data, documentation, and correspondence to comply with safety regulations and health and safety management system requirements.

+ Develop recommendations for health and safety processes/programs to meet the *** health and safety standards and comply with applicable laws and regulations.

+ Manage and review safety recordkeeping per OSHA guidelines and internal processes and procedures.

+ Coordinate safety audits and risk assessments to identify noncompliance with *** standards processes and applicable laws and regulations.

+ Manage corrective action and preventative action processes.

+ Review new processes, equipment and assets for potential hazards and compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. Make recommendations, if necessary, prior to introduction.

+ Respond to questions and requests for information relevant to safety and health issues from acquired knowledge and experience.

+ Develop, direct and may conduct safety presentations and training.

**Required** :

+ Knowledge and experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment with a strong safety background.

+ Knowledge and experience in developing and providing safety training.

+ Safety Degree and/or very strong manufacturing safety experience

+ Strong skills in MS Office suite

+ CSP accreditation preferred.

+ Metatarsals for first day – not reimbursable

+ Any certifications for OSHA training

**Description** :

+ Entry level position into the safety profession. Understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge of those principles to comply with regulatory agency and company standards for injury and illness reporting requirements necessary to document incidents. Duties: Works with employees and assists supervisors and others on injury prevention by identifying and correcting potential safety and health hazards as well as identifying unsafe actions in order to eliminate on the job injuries and illnesses. Assists in developing recommendations for safety processes/programs to attain and sustain a hazards free workplace. This includes design and evaluation of components to monitor effectiveness. Conducts audits to verify compliance to required regulations and company policies and then assures management is aware of items identified for proper and corrective actions. Develops, directs and may conduct safety presentations and training. Analyzes appropriate Environmental Health Safety (EHS) functional reporting metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Reviews new products, equipment, processes and facilities for potential hazards and compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards; making recommendations if necessary prior to introduction. Communicates and works with safety equipment suppliers.
