We are seeking a dynamic **Staff Quality & Reliability Engineer** to join our expanding **Advanced Quality Engineering (AQE)** team. This high-impact role is central to shaping the future of quality in aerospace product and process development. You will lead global quality planning and execution using **Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)** , ensuring flawless launches and alignment with customer expectations. Job Requirements
+ **Leadership & Collaboration** : Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
+ **Customer Engagement** : Function as a key interface with customers, suppliers, and internal sites to address quality concerns and ensure compliance with flow-down requirements.
+ **Project Quality Ownership** : Own APQP deliverables throughout the Lean PD process, including gate reviews, audits, and final G6 sign-off
+ **Technical Expertise** :
+ Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to develop Quality Inspection Plans (QIPs).
+ Identify and flow down critical/key characteristics into control documentation.
+ Define and manage gaging requirements with suppliers, ensuring calibration and compliance.
+ **Data-Driven Decision Making** : Analyse quality metrics (PPM, scrap, CPK, COPQ) using tools like Minitab or JMP to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (Ishikawa, 5 Why, 8D).
+ **Risk Management** : Facilitate and moderate design and process FMEAs, ensuring alignment with TE and customer standards.
+ **Digital Quality Documentation** : Lead the implementation of digital PPAPs and support the integration of AS9145 into the ADM NPI process.
+ **Standardization & Continuous Improvement** : Champion the use of APIS, DQIP, FAI, PPAP, and Lessons Learned databases to enhance quality planning and execution.
What your background should look like
+ Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or an individual granted asylee or refugee status in the U.S.
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in **Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Business** .
+ 8 or more years proven experience in **Quality Engineering within Aerospace component manufacturing** .
+ Demonstrated **people management experience** , with a history of leading and developing cross-functional teams.
+ Strong technical problem-solving skills, experience with **Shainin Red X** or similar methodologies preferred. **Six Sigma Black Belt** certification is a plus.
+ Proficiency in **APQP, FMEA, PPAP** , and statistical analysis tools.
+ Excellent **leadership, communication, and stakeholder management** skills, including direct engagement with customers and suppliers.
+ An initiative-taking **, results-driven mindset** with a strong **“can-do” attitude** and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
+ Willingness to travel up to **25%** to support global sites, customers, and suppliers.
