Facility Site Manager

Bay Road Self Storage, located in Queensbury, NY, is seeking

a FULL-TIME Facility Site Manager to oversee daily operations.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

•Provide outstanding customer service by helping customers understand their needs, recommend storage solutions and aid in acquiring the needed solutions.

•Assist reservation and walk-in customers in person, via phone, texting, email, or other appropriate communication methods in renting storage units, understanding lease terms, fees and insurance and completing lease agreements.

•Ensure the appearance of the property is customer-ready by cleaning units, sweeping, mopping, removing debris, wiping windows, etc. ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

•Manage, verify, and balance payments received; prepare and make deposits on a timely basis.

•Manage inventory and supplies.

•Utilize management software - SiteLink, storEDGE, Microsoft Office, and other software such as texting services or other communication services to manage the business according to corporate standards.

•Conduct and record in the management software system the physical storage unit inspections multiple times per week, confirming inventory availability and ensuring each unit is secure or ready to rent.

•Monitor and manage surveillance systems and access controls.

•Collaborate closely with the owner to ensure the property exceeds all company expectations.

•Maintain high customer satisfaction scores and on-line reviews.

•Ensure compliance with company policies and civil regulations.

Required Qualifications:

•High school diploma or equivalent

•Valid driver’s license required

•Reside within reasonable distance from facility in the event of an after-hours emergency

•Positive and customer-focused attitude

•Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

•Enjoys operating independently or as part of a small team

•Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

•Strong computer skills as facility is paperless. Experience with MS Excel and MS Word

•Access to reliable transportation used during the workday

•Ability and willingness to perform cleaning and maintenance duties such as sweeping, mopping, wiping windows, moving boxes of belongings / household goods, etc.

•Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check as well as random drug screening

•At least 1 year of previous experience in a self-storage setting, or 3 years’ experience in a customer service managerial position is preferred

•Experience with Sitelink Management Software is preferred

Schedule:

Successful candidates must be able to work from 8am – 4pm

Tuesday through Friday and 8am – 2pm on Saturdays.

Compensation:

Competitive wage commensurate with experience. Excellent benefit package including company paid health, dental and vision insurance with a company-funded retirement plan.

Hourly Rate $27.50

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
