**A caregiver in this position works Monday - Friday from 3:30pm - 11:00pm, with rotating weekends and holidays** .

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

+ Inspect, operate and maintain a high pressure/steam powerhouse, HVAC systems and emergency power and fire protection systems.

+ Monitor and maintain HVAC-related source and distribution equipment such as steam, chilled water, water chemistry, humidification, air handling, etc.

+ Monitor and respond to all fire protection systems.

+ Respond to all emergency calls.

+ Test and monitor emergency generators and transfer equipment.

+ Work at other Cleveland Clinic facilities as needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

+ A high school diploma or GED.

+ Third Class Stationary Engineers License from the State of Ohio.

+ Five years of experience in steam distribution systems, condensate systems, large chiller systems, water distribution systems, cooling towers and/or air handling systems.

+ Military experience as a Machinists Mate (MM), Electric Power Production (3E0X2) or a similar role will be considered.

+ Working knowledge of blueprints and electrical schematics.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

+ Knowledge of fire protection equipment, building automation equipment, emergency generators and controls.

+ Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

+ Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time

+ Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

+ Ability to move/transport items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)

+ Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)

+ Ability to move/transport carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)

+ Ability to inspect equipment

+ Ability to install, repair and maintain systems, equipment, fixtures and/or structures

+ Ability to distinguish color

+ Ability to climb ladders

+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $30.41

Maximum hourly: $46.38
