About the role
As a CBRE Meetings & Events Scheduler, you will provide essential support to the events team. In this role, you will review event request forms, schedule events in appropriate spaces, maintain alignment across calendars, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
This position is part of the Global Workplace Solutions team, which is responsible for delivering world-class customer service to clients and their visitors.
This is a mostly remote role within the Indianapolis, IN area but needs to be commutable to work in the office a few days out of the month or as needed.
What you’ll do
+ Review and process internal event request forms.
+ Assign and book event spaces based on availability and requirements.
+ Maintain and update event calendars to ensure accuracy and alignment.
+ Communicate event details and logistics with internal collaborators.
+ Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts and resolve issues promptly.
+ Maintain a strong knowledge base of campus-wide meeting and event spaces.
+ Apply foundational principles with limited practical experience.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
+ Ensure the quality of your own work.
+ Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
+ Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and confirm understanding.
What you’ll need
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred, with up to 3 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of education and experience will be considered.
+ Ability to use established procedures to solve standard problems.
+ Experience analyzing information and applying standard practices to make sound judgments.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality; tech-savvy and able to learn customized internal software.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Experience:
+ Background in hospitality or the hotel industry.
+ Corporate or agency event management experience.
+ Scheduling or equivalent logistical planning experience.
