About the Role:
The HSE Site Safety Specialist supports the Site HSE Manager by ensuring daily compliance with safety policies and procedures on-site. This role is responsible for field-level enforcement of safety standards, conducting inspections, monitoring work activities, and coaching personnel on safe practices. The HSE Site Safety Specialty reports to the Site HSE Manager and acts as the first line of defense in hazard identification and mitigation.
What you will do:
Field-Level Safety Support
+ Assist with site safety inspections and compliance checks.
+ Monitor work areas for hazards and potential violations.
+ Support the Site Safety Supervisor in verifying PPE compliance.
Documentation & Compliance Assistance
+ Help track safety observations, audits, and training records.
+ Assist in preparing safety reports, incident documentation, and compliance forms.
+ Maintain an organized database of safety-related paperwork.
Incident Response & Documentation
+ Assist in incident investigations, gathering witness statements, and submitting reports.
+ Track near misses and safety violations, escalating concerns to the Site HSE Manager.
+ Ensure all safety documents and compliance records are maintained properly.
Worker Interaction & Training Support
+ Attend and assist with safety meetings, toolbox talks, and orientations.
+ Reinforce safe work practices by engaging with crews in the field.
+ Help facilitate distribution of safety materials and PPE.
Emergency Preparedness
+ Support the Site Safety Supervisor in emergency drills and response planning.
+ Ensure all emergency equipment and first aid stations are stocked and accessible.
+ Assist in training workers on evacuation procedures and emergency protocols.
What you will need:
+ 3+ years of safety experience in construction or industrial environments.
+ OSHA 30hr Construction
+ Knowledge in the following areas is required:
+ Fall Protection
+ Mobile Elevated Work Platforms
+ Electrical Safety
+ Data Center experience as a professional
+ Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional) are a plus.
+ Current First Aid, CPR, AED
