Job Summary:

HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital is seeking a full-time Chief of Emergency Medicine to lead its Emergency Department in Okeechobee, Florida.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES

+ Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)

+ Will consider Board-Certified Family Medicine (ABFM) or Board-Certified Internal Medicine (ABIM) with at least 24 months of current Emergency Medicine experience

+ Minimum of 24 months of current Emergency Medicine experience

+ Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

+ 30,000 Emergency Medicine visits per year

+ 14-bed Emergency Department, including 3 fast-track including 2 dedicated trauma rooms

+ Multi-million-dollar expansion starting in early spring 2026 adding 11 additional bays, 2 behavioral health safe rooms, dedicated physician workspace

+ 20% admission rate

+ 24 hours of physician coverage

+ 24 hours of APP coverage

+ Active partnership with sister facility in close proximity for Trauma, OB, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery and Pediatric support/transfers
