The Manager of Master Data Management (MDM) will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and governance of master data across enterprise systems. This role will collaborate closely with business, IT, and functional teams to define data standards, manage data processes, and maintain high data quality to support operational efficiency, compliance, and informed business decision-making. In addition, the role will leverage AI and advanced analytics to automate data validation, identify anomalies, optimize data workflows, and drive predictive insights that enhance master data governance and operational performance. The Manager will also explore opportunities to implement intelligent data solutions, such as AI-assisted data cleansing, process automation, and advanced monitoring, to ensure scalable, proactive, and value-driven data management across the enterprise.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Governance & Policy Execution
+ Apply established master data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure consistency and compliance across all master data domains.
+ Support the implementation of data stewardship and ownership models by coordinating with business and IT teams.
+ Enforce data quality rules, validation criteria, and naming conventions in day-to-day data management activities, leveraging AI-assisted validation tools where appropriate.
+ Ensure adherence to internal governance policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR, CCPA) through ongoing monitoring and documentation.
Process Execution & Optimization
+ Execute and monitor end-to-end master data processes, including creation, modification, approval, and deactivation of records.
+ Identify inefficiencies, recurring issues, or gaps in current processes and recommend actionable improvements, utilizing AI insights to support process optimization.
+ Support the rollout of standardized workflows, approval mechanisms, and controls that enhance data accuracy and traceability.
+ Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement process changes and ensure governance controls are embedded in system workflows.
Data Quality Monitoring & Issue Resolution
+ Monitor data quality KPIs and dashboards to track completeness, accuracy, and timeliness across master data domains, with AI-enabled trend analysis for proactive issue detection.
+ Investigate and resolve data issues, coordinating with business users and technical teams to implement corrective actions.
+ Maintain regular data quality checks, exception reports, and validation routines to uphold governance standards.
+ Document root causes and preventive measures to reduce recurring data quality issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Serve as a key contact for master data governance questions, requests, and process clarifications.
+ Work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and Commercial teams to ensure master data supports business operations effectively.
+ Participate in data governance meetings or working groups to share updates, escalate issues, and align on process improvements.
+ Support communication of governance updates, process changes, and data management best practices across the organization.
Continuous Improvement & Enablement
+ Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives focused on master data governance, automation, and data quality monitoring, including evaluation of AI-assisted tools and workflows.
+ Assist with data cleansing, enrichment, and migration activities during system implementations or integrations.
+ Support testing (UAT) and validation of new governance workflows or system enhancements impacting master data.
+ Provide training, user guides, and hands-on support to ensure adoption of governance processes and consistent data handling.
CORE SKILLS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
+ Expertise in master data governance, data quality management, and regulatory compliance across enterprise systems.
+ Strong ability to design, execute, and optimize data processes with focus on efficiency and accuracy.
+ Proficiency with MDM platforms, ETL tools, and reporting/visualization solutions.
+ Experience in leveraging AI and intelligent automation for data validation, enrichment, and process optimization.
+ Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and leadership skills across business and IT teams.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement capabilities to drive actionable insights and prevent recurring data issues.
