Where You’ll Work
This position is based in our Lenexa, KS office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work.
What You’ll Do The Benefit Advisory Services Director is responsible for leading employee benefits and insurance group purchasing contract activities for children’s hospitals. This role involves strategic account management, vendor relations, and operational planning to identify contract opportunities, maximize program participation, and enhance relationships among hospitals and vendors. Key duties include conducting stewardship meetings, analyzing insurance program data, managing renewals, directing marketing efforts, and overseeing special projects and new plan implementation.
+ Conduct account management services including on-site stewardship meetings and effective vendor partnerships.
+ Identify and conduct growth and development activities by partnering with CHA team and vendor partners to advance program objectives to additional children’s hospitals.
+ Compile, analyze, and interpret insurance program information to facilitate decision-making.
+ Manage the planning and execution of various children’s hospital meetings, encompassing agenda development, hospital and vendor presentations, networking events, and facilitation.
+ Participate in all phases of marketing, sales, and benefit plan review for children’s hospitals.
+ Serve as a communications liaison between vendors and children’s hospitals.
+ Direct marketing efforts, including requests for proposals, strategic comparisons, and recommendations.
+ Direct business partner’s review sessions and activities that maximize savings and ensure contract compliance.
+ Analyze alternative business development approaches and strategies.
Required Experience:
What You’ll Bring to CHA
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
+ Bachelor’s degree.
+ Life/Health Insurance License.
+ Minimum six years’ advanced human resources or insurance benefit experience.
+ Advanced knowledge of group benefits, services, and programs.
+ Substantial experience in marketing all lines of insurance coverage to carriers.
+ Excellent analytical and project management skills.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to execute public presentations and facilitate group meetings.
+ Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
+ Ability to travel by car or plane up to 20%

This pay range shown is a guideline. Min: $93,000 Max: $170,000 Compensation is based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
