• Adjunct Instructor for Physical and Earth Sciences

    Russell Sage College (Troy, NY)


     

    Russell Sage College is seeking an adjunct professor to teach SCI 104: Physical and Earth Science during the Spring 2026 semester. This survey-level course, designed for non-STEM majors (particularly education majors), introduces foundational concepts in physical and earth sciences, emphasizing hands-on exploration as well as practical applications relevant to everyday life.

     

    The class is currently scheduled to meet Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., though there is some flexibility in adjusting meeting times if needed.

     

    Adjunct compensation is currently $1000 per credit hour (depending on staffing needs and enrollment).

    Job Requirements:

    Previous experience teaching high school or undergraduate science is strongly preferred. Completion of a graduate degree in science or education, or current enrollment in a graduate program, is strongly preferred.
