Caulker / Pointer / Restoration Mechanic – Historic Restoration

Worcester Eisenbrandt (WEI), a historic restoration construction company, is seeking experienced Caulkers, Pointers, and Restoration Mechanics to join our team in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) metropolitan area.

Job Responsibilities

+ Perform caulking, joint sealing, and tuckpointing in a commercial setting.

+ Demonstrate extensive experience using a caulking gun and basic hand tools.

+ Work safely and confidently on scaffolding.

+ Identify and work with various sizes and types of backer rods.

+ Understand the differences between bulk, sausage, and tube products, and the application of 2-part sealants.

+ Apply skills in masonry, commercial carpentry, drywall, and brick painting.

+ Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on construction sites.

+ Accurately judge straight lines, spacing, and proportions.

Physical Requirements

+ Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding.

+ Use hands and arms to reach, handle, and manipulate tools and materials.

+ Maintain good visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses.

+ Lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs., with the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. when required.
