Job Title: Avionics Software EngineerJob Description
The role involves supporting a time-sensitive project where the aircraft uses high-frequency communication to interact with the ground system. The position requires adapting the aircraft system to communicate with a new vendor, replacing the existing transcription method. This includes software distribution and avionics software for various aircraft models such as Airbus and Boeing (737/787/777).
Responsibilities
+ Support the transition of aircraft systems to a new vendor for communication.
+ Engage in software distribution and avionics software development.
+ Utilize high-frequency communication for data transfer within aircraft systems.
+ Collaborate on projects involving aircraft models like Airbus, 737, 787, and 777.
+ Program using aircraft-specific languages such as Lama, C++, or Embedded C.
+ Leverage knowledge of aircraft systems and parameters in development.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in embedded software, C++, and aircraft systems.
+ Familiarity with programming languages like Lama and Embedded C.
+ Experience with GVSD and aircraft software distribution/loading.
+ Aircraft AOC system experience and AOC software customization.
+ Experience with AMI software and GBST for AMI customization.
+ Knowledge of aircraft manuals such as AMM and IPC.
+ Experience in authoring and revising Engineering Orders and Authorizations.
+ Ability to manage major projects on schedule.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
+ Bachelor's degree required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience as an engineer in aircraft avionics or related fields.
+ Experience with FDCF, ACMF, DCMF, etc., preferred.
Work Environment
The position offers a hybrid work model with the opportunity to work from home one day a week. The standard working hours are 8 AM to 5 PM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
