Join a dynamic Multi-Disciplinary Office as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in supporting doctors and school residents with essential medical duties. This position offers a blend of back office and front office responsibilities, providing a well-rounded experience in patient care and administrative functions.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in triage and take patient vitals such as blood pressure and EKG.
+ Document patient information using EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
+ Demonstrate compassion for patients throughout their care journey.
+ Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service.
+ Verify insurance information and check patients in using EMR Epic.
+ Scan insurance cards, IDs, and other registration forms.
Essential Skills
+ Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
+ Experience in a busy medical practice preferred.
+ Proficiency in manual and automatic blood pressure measurement.
+ Strong customer service skills.
+ Professional demeanor and dependability.
+ Team-oriented with a focus on patient care.
+ Excellent attendance and punctuality.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with EPIC is a plus but not required.
+ Familiarity with medical terminology and internal medicine.
+ Ability to work with various specialties and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
The position is based in a large office within the professional building on Redwood. Medical Assistants will work with 1-2 providers and must be team players. The role requires occasional travel between Downtown, Midtown, Owings Mills, Reisterstown, and Queenstown locations, with Downtown as the home base. The clinic is a multi-disciplinary facility with a high patient census, offering a robust and busy work environment. Parking is available in garages ranging from $7 to $9 per day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
