Job Title: HD Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated HD Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role involves working from 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, and 11:30am to 8pm every other weekend. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to learn about the pharmacy profession and be capable of standing for an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

+ Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.

+ Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them per procedure.

+ Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them as needed during low volume times.

+ Package materials and products manually.

+ Pull and pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas.

+ Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks.

+ Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product that does not scan properly.

+ Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed.

+ Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.

+ Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

+ Perform other duties as assigned, including troubleshooting and data entry.

Essential Skills

+ Eagerness to learn about the pharmacy profession.

+ Ability to take direction and pay attention to details.

+ Capability to stand for an 8-hour shift.

+ Active status as a registered pharmacy technician.

+ 1 year of relevant experience requested.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Pride in work and punctuality.

+ Ability to care for the needs of patients and customers.

+ New Jersey pharmacy technician registration in active status upon hire.

Work Environment

The position is based at Pharmscript of New Jersey NJ312. Work hours are from 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 11:30am to 8pm every other weekend. While overtime is not required, weekend work is necessary. The interview process consists of one in-person round and is minimally technical.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Somerset, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
