Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Engineer to lead and manage cross-functional teams through all phases of product development and release. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet product performance requirements.

Responsibilities

+ Manage APQP documentation requirements for each project.

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal teams regarding product development and program management activities.

+ Provide project status updates and risk assessments to upper management on a monthly basis.

+ Support the prototyping process, including definition, sourcing, and execution.

Essential Skills

+ Automotive manufacturing experience.

+ Mechanical engineering expertise.

+ Design and project engineering skills.

+ Product development life cycle knowledge.

+ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).

+ 5+ years as a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on leading projects or 3+ years of project management experience.

+ Experience in the automotive or related industry.

+ Project management and engineering skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Familiarity with TS, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and MSA.

+ Understanding of customer-specific requirements.

+ Proficiency in technical print reading.

+ Ability to conduct root cause analysis.

Work Environment

The role is situated in an office environment and involves supporting the full product life cycle. The position is a backfill for a previous employee and requires working cross-functionally across engineering teams. You will engage directly with leading automotive brands in a fast-paced, tier 1 automotive supplier setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $106000.00/yr.
