Job Title: Test EngineerJob Description

As a Test Engineer, you will design and build automated test fixtures for new product development, focusing on Functional Safety and Hi-Pot systems. You will select instrumentation, define I/O, and integrate controls, safety interlocks, and data acquisition. The role involves developing test software primarily in LabVIEW or, alternatively, robust solutions using Python and C with appropriate hardware drivers and communication protocols.

Responsibilities

+ Design, build, and maintain automated test fixtures.

+ Develop test software in LabVIEW or Python and C.

+ Author test plans, procedures, and automated scripts.

+ Contribute to peer reviews, traceability, and regression execution.

+ Execute and document validation activities in regulated environments.

+ Produce user-facing technical documentation and maintain configuration management.

+ Collaborate with Systems, Quality/Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with strong hardware experience.

+ 3–6+ years of experience in test engineering or test automation in new product development.

+ Proficiency in LabVIEW or strong skills in Python and C.

+ Strong communication skills and a team-player mentality.

+ Ability to create clear technical documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Comfortable with Hi-Pot/dielectric testing concepts and functional safety verification practices.

+ Experience with medical devices and exposure to TMV/Gage R&R practices.

+ Fixture design/build experience, including electrical schematics, wiring, safety interlocks, and enclosure layout.

+ Schematic capture/PCB design, power electronics, and safety-critical testing experience.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position requiring presence at the facility five days a week. The work environment includes opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure requirements coverage, safety compliance, and design-for-manufacturing feedback. This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
