    Job Title: Mechanical DesignerJob Description

     

    We are seeking an Industrial Designer specializing in sheet metal design for finishing systems. The role involves creating 2D and 3D models, preparing detailed manufacturing drawings, and collaborating with engineers to meet project goals. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks is preferred.

    Responsibilities

    + Design sheet metal components and assemblies for finishing systems.

    + Create detailed manufacturing documentation in 3D.

    + Collaborate with engineers and project managers.

    + Utilize AutoCAD and other modeling software for designs.

    + Optimize product aesthetics and functionality.

    + Manage design projects from concept to production.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks.

    + Experience with sheet metal design.

    + Ability to create 2D and 3D models.

    + Experience in powder coating.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Background in sheet metal and powder coating.

    + Experience in managing design projects from concept to production.

    Work Environment

    The position involves working onsite in a cubicle with the engineering team, as well as hands-on interaction with the product on the floor. The facility is located in Vancouver and is equipped with multiple spray booths capable of handling projects ranging from automotive to aerospace and defense sectors.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
