    Job Title: RF Engineer – Aerospace

     

    Experience Level: Expert (10+ years)

    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced RF Engineer to support the design, integration, and certification of advanced RF and electrical systems for aerospace platforms. This role involves performing detailed electrical/electronic systems analysis, RF performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with stringent military and FAA regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Conduct Electrical/Electronic Systems Analysis for complex aerospace platforms.

     

    Perform RF Analysis and Antenna Co-Site Performance Analysis to optimize system performance.

     

    Develop and execute EMI/EMC/HERP/HERF Analysis and create comprehensive test plans.

     

    Ensure compliance with DoD, FAA, and U.S. Government certification standards, including qualification and conformity requirements.

     

    Design and integrate systems using RS-232, RS-422, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, and discrete wiring.

     

    Support RF system and antenna installation, design, and analysis for aircraft applications.

     

    Prepare and review Electrical Load Analysis per MIL-E-7016, ASTM F2490-05, and related standards.

     

    Collaborate with certification authorities and internal teams to meet MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, DO-160, and MIL-STD-704 requirements.

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

     

    10+ years of electrical engineering experience in aerospace environments.

     

    Strong knowledge of RF systems, antenna design, and integration.

     

    Familiarity with MIL-STD and DO-160 testing and design requirements.

     

    Understanding of AC/DC power requirements per MIL-STD-704 series.

     

    Ability to travel internationally and access military installations (no restrictions in background ).

     

    Preferred Skills

     

    Experience with aircraft certification processes and regulatory compliance.

     

    Hands-on experience with EMI/EMC testing and mitigation strategies.

     

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooksville, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
