    Sales Engineer- Naperville, IL

    Responsibilities

    + Select, configure, and price highly technical/engineered equipment.

    + Respond to day-to-day business inquiries and technical clarifications from representatives and customers.

    + Prepare formal quotations in line with pricing strategies, ensuring optimal engineered solutions.

    + Provide remote field support as a technical center of excellence for aftermarket pump and equipment product lines.

    + Recommend product improvements to engineering teams to meet market needs.

    + Work cross-functionally between projects, pumps, and parts.

    + Manage multiple projects through quotation and technical clarification cycles.

    + Domestic travel 25% of the time, about once a quarter.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

    + 0-3 years' experience in technical industrial sales/engineering with pumps, rotating equipment, or the manufacturing industry is preferred.

    + Ability to quickly learn pumps, motors, mechanical seals, controls, and related accessories.

    + Technical understanding of pump operation, performance, and application.

    + Experience in interpreting specifications into a commercial offering.

    + Knowledge of contract review and terms & conditions, with negotiation skills.

    + Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other departments.

    + Capability to multi-task and make accurate decisions based on available information.

    + Proficiency in reading drawings and understanding technical specifications.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $38.46/hr.
