Maintenance Technician

Our client, JohnsByrne, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist them in maintaining modifying and repairing mechanical equipment such as die-cutters, printing presses, wrapping and folding machines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Working on their own or with others performing preventative maintenance to equipment and evaluating it for further needed repairs and returning the equipment to service in a timely and safe manner.
+ Using power tools, diagnostic or hand tools or machining equipment to maintain or repair machinery to safe working condition
+ Making minor or major electrical repairs to equipment while observing standard safety practices
+ Required to perform other duties as directed, assigned or requested
Education and Experience:
+ Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
+ Must have a minimum of 5 years of electrical or machinery repair and maintenance experience
Required Skills and Abilities:
+ Must have a strong knowledge of the proper use power and hand tools with good working knowledge of the use of a lathe, milling machine, drill presses etc.
+ Must have good working knowledge of electrical theory and circuits and the ability to diagnose electrical problems.
+ Must have good organizational and planning skills and be able to perform multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
+ Must be able to regularly repair mechanical equipment to OEM standards or to specifications set by the department manager
+ Ability to read and write in English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math
+ Must work in a safe and professional manner and communicate issues back to the department manager
+ Must be able to work well with others as well as independently
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
+ Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach
+ Regularly required to use force to push, pull and lift up to 75 lbs
+ Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
+ Work performed in a shop environment
+ Exposed to hot and cold temperature
+ Regularly exposed to dust, odors, fumes and noise

**Pay Details:** $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
