    Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Molecular Biologist (Plant Systems) for a leading pharmaceutical company located in Chesterfield, MO.

     

    **Pay** : $30-37/hr based on experience and education

     

    This is an exciting opportunity to support innovative research focused on genetic recombination and plant-based biotechnology.

     

    Position: Molecular Biologist (Plant Systems)

     

    The Biologist in this role will support research on recombinase variant activity and specificity using molecular and plant-based genetic tools. Responsibilities include molecular cloning, transient plant transformation, DNA extraction and cleanup, and sequence analysis. Candidates must have hands-on laboratory molecular biology experience; experience with plant tissue culture is strongly preferred.

    Core Technical Responsibilities

    + Perform molecular cloning (e.g., restriction/ligation, Gibson Assembly, Golden Gate).

    + Execute DNA extraction, purification, and sample cleanup for downstream analysis.

    + Conduct sequence analysis using tools such as BLAST, Geneious, or CLC Workbench.

    + Support transient plant transformation (e.g., Agroinfiltration) and contribute to plant tissue culture efforts.

    + Test recombinase variants and evaluate activity and specificity in site-specific recombination systems (e.g., Cre/lox, FLP/FRT).

    Required Qualifications

    + Hands-on experience in a molecular biology laboratory (academic or industry).

    + Strong technical skills in DNA manipulation, cloning, and sequence analysis.

    + Ability to accurately document laboratory experiments and results.

    Preferred Background

    + BA/BS in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Plant Biology, Biotechnology, or related discipline.

    + Experience with plant transformation and/or plant tissue culture.

    + Knowledge of site-specific recombinase systems and genetic engineering tools.

    Work Environment & PPE

    + Location: Chesterfield, MO

    + Setting: Molecular biology laboratory

    + PPE Provided by Client

    + Required PPE: Safety glasses, lab gloves, lab coat

    + No work at heights, driving, or heavy lifting required

    + Standard exposure to molecular biology reagents and lab chemicals

    **Pay Details:** $30.00 to $37.00 per hour
