**JOB TITLE:** Painter

**DEPARTMENT:** Painter Helper

**REPORTS TO:** Production Supervisor

SUMMARY:

Assisting the painter - cleaning, mixing paints, taping/masking parts as specified by travelers and drawings

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Cleaning and preparing parts for paint

+ Reading travelers and drawings to determine correct materials to be used

+ Recording paint mixes

+ Mixing paints and assisting the painter

+ Packaging parts

+ Taping parts that are painted with more than one color

+ Regularly cleaning paint guns and work space as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

+ Effective communication skills

+ Punctual and reliable

+ Attention to detail

+ Familiarity with paint gun

+ 3-5 years paint experience

+ Able to work independently or with other individuals

+ Able to lift up to 50 lbs

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, or carry; reach with hands and arms.

+ The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance or stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl.

+ The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 lbs.

+ The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter.

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, read and identify numbers.

+ The employee is regularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic performing daily tasks.

+ The employee is required to adhere to in house respiratory and safety requirements.

**Pay Details:** $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
