Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in designing and supporting electrical systems for gas turbine packages and EPC projects. This position involves collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant electrical designs.
Responsibilities
+ Assist the engineering team to contribute to the design of various systems and components for gas turbine packages.
+ Assist in the development and review of electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and equipment specifications, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
+ With guidance, contribute to the creation of Engineering Specifications for equipment such as generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, MCC’s, control cabinets/systems, auxiliary power, lighting, and safety systems.
+ Assist in the review of vendor submitted materials against Engineering Specifications and project requirements.
+ Support the selection of components for Bills of Material (BOMs) and work closely with procurement to source materials and components.
+ Participate in design reviews and provide input for continuous improvement of product and project designs.
+ Support manufacturing, testing, and field installation efforts by providing technical expertise and by troubleshooting issues.
+ Stay up to date with continuing education, industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in electrical engineering, incorporating relevant innovations into project designs.
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management as required to meet the project goals and objectives.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
+ 1+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering with a design or manufacturing experience.
+ Knowledge in design principles, OHM law, circuit design, 3 phase power, equipment and cable sizing.
+ Experience in AutoCAD; AutoCAD Electrical is a plus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with engineering design processes and standards.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.
Work Environment
The candidate will be working in an office environment 90% of the time and 10% on the floor reviewing necessary specifications to electrical diagrams.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $40.00/hr.
