Neuberger Berman is advancing firmwide adoption of Generative AI to enhance investment processes and deliver operational efficiencies across our global platform. We seek a Lead Technologist – AI Product Management within the Technology organization. This leader will translate high-impact concepts into production solutions, drive enterprise adoption and training, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to realize measurable business outcomes.
Key responsibilities
+ Product leadership: Lead the product lifecycle for prioritized Generative AI initiatives - problem framing, requirements, prioritization, release planning, enablement, and continuous improvement - aligned to the AI roadmap owned by the Head of AI.
+ Investment process enablement: Partner with investment teams to integrate AI into research workflows, improving quality, speed, and decision support; steward adoption with clear success criteria and feedback loops.
+ Enterprise adoption and training: Design and deliver structured training, communications, and demonstrations to increase usage and establish best practices across functions (e.g., Legal & Compliance, Operations, Marketing).
+ Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with senior business leaders to identify and sequence high-value use cases; maintain transparent prioritization, timelines, and outcome measures.
+ Responsible implementation: Work closely with Governance, Risk, Information Security, Legal, and Compliance to ensure solutions adhere to firm standards and controls throughout design and rollout.
+ Platform stewardship: Coordinate with Engineeringon platform and tooling choices, leveraging in-house capabilities and leading models.
+ Market scanning: Monitor the rapidly evolving Generative AI landscape and synthesize developments into actionable recommendations for NB’s enterprise needs.
Qualifications
+ 10+ years of technology product management experience delivering enterprise software or data/AI-enabled solutions.
+ Financial services background required; asset management experience strongly preferred.
+ Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders; track record of translating complex technologies into clear business value.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to internal leadership and external clients.
+ Strong familiarity with Generative AI platforms and enterprise integration patterns.
+ Demonstrated curiosity and commitment to staying current on Generative AI developments across consumer and enterprise contexts.
+ Experience leading training, enablement, and change management for new technology deployments.
+ People management experience preferred.
+ Strong analytical, prioritization, and execution capabilities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred experience
+ Understanding of financial services business processes (e.g., equities, fixed income, alternatives, portfolio operations, legal/compliance workflows, marketing/client communications).
+ Exposure to AI-assisted workflows such as research copilots, knowledge retrieval, content generation/review, and operational efficiency tools.
+ Experience operating in cloud enterprise environments (Azure, AWS) and partnering closely with engineering on platform decisions.
Work model
+ Location: New York City; hybrid with a minimum of two days per week in office.

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $185,000-$225,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement, life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
