Summary:

The Lead Genetic Counselor is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of a comprehensive genetic counseling service. This leadership role combines strategic planning, team management, clinical service delivery and stakeholder engagement to expand and enhance genetic counseling offerings. They will serve as a clinical expert, educator and operational leader ensuring high-quality patient-centered care and integration of genetics services into broader clinical workflows.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

+ Master's degree from an accredited genetic counseling training program

+ Certification with American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC)

EXPERIENCE

+ Minimum of 3 years of clinical genetic counseling experience

+ 2 years in a program development or leadership role preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

+ Ability to apply knowledge of genetics principles, genetic conditions, and testing technologies to the practice of genetic counseling

+ Ability to evaluate personalized genetic risk

+ Ability to Communicate genetics information to patients, colleagues, and referring providers
