Description

Our team is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support operations in a busy, fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting materials, and ensuring inventory integrity. This role is critical in maintaining our supply chain and supporting business success.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments; verify contents against packing lists and purchase orders.

+ Prepare, package, and document outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling.

+ Maintain inventory records and update systems with receipt and shipment details.

+ Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.

+ Collaborate with warehouse staff and other departments to prioritize and fulfill orders quickly.

+ Track shipments and resolve discrepancies or issues with vendors or carriers.

+ Adhere to all safety procedures and company protocols within the shipping/receiving area.

+ Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote efficiency and safety.

+ Assist in periodic inventory counts and audits.

+ Perform other related duties as assigned to support warehouse and logistics functions.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics—preferably in a fast-paced environment.

+ Ability to lift and move packages up to [insert weight] lbs as needed.

+ Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

+ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

+ Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.

+ Certification in forklift operation is preferred, but not required.

+ Commitment to safety and quality standards.
