Description We are looking for an experienced Trust Operations Specialist to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in maintaining the financial accuracy and regulatory compliance of trust operations within the organization. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounting, finance, or banking, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in trust accounting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statement captions related to trust operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

• Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard trust assets and maintain the integrity of financial reporting.

• Collaborate with senior management, auditors, and regulatory agencies to address compliance issues and support organizational objectives.

• Analyze and resolve complex financial and operational discrepancies within trust operations.

• Monitor and evaluate call center metrics to ensure alignment with trust operation standards.

• Apply critical analysis to assess the impact of consumer banking and lending practices on trust operations.

• Utilize expertise in the credit card industry to support trust-related transactions and reporting.

• Manage divestment activities as they pertain to trust operations, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance.

• Provide strategic recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks within trust operations.

• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively adapt processes and policies. Requirements • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in trust accounting, financial reporting, or a related field within the banking industry.

• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements for trust operations.

• Proven ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with senior management and external entities.

• Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Knowledge of call center metrics and their application within trust operations.

• Familiarity with consumer banking, lending, and credit card industry practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
