Advertising/Posting Title Educator and Trainer for Inclusive Excellence
Posting Summary
Serve as a subject matter expert to educate faculty, staff, and students in the areas of Inclusive Excellence. Reports to the Senior Executive Director for Inclusive Excellence. Provide consultative support based on research-based best practices to Colleges, Divisions, and units in the development and implementation of the professional and faculty development sections of their respective unit’s Inclusive Excellence Action Plans ( IEAP ). Participate in collaborative problem solving in implementing the Office of the Vice Provost for Inclusive Excellence’s ( OVPIE ) Professional and Faculty Development Plan in concert with professional and faculty development components of the University of Vermont’s ( UVM ) Comprehensive Inclusive Excellence Action Plan.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
-Bachelor’s degree and two to four years relevant experience
-Experience in design and delivery of adult education and DEI training
-Effective skills in: organization, editing, writing, program development, interpersonal, public presentation, and intercultural communications
-Demonstrated ability to serve as an effective team member on collaborative projects required.
-Demonstrated success working with a range of culturally and ethnically diverse populations and evidence of commitment to fostering a collaborative multicultural environment required.
Desirable Qualifications
-Master’s degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience that supports expertise in this area.
-Previous experience as a ‘front-of-the-room’ trainer and/or facilitator.
- DEI training and/or course work on systemically marginalized domestic populations.
Anticipated Pay Range 55,000-60,000
Other Information
This position is expected to begin in late spring or early summer, 2026.
Special Conditions Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime)
