    About the State Park Inns:

    The Indiana State Park Inns are one of the oldest state parks lodging systems in the country. We proudly operate seven unique and beautiful facilities throughout our great state of Indiana that offer a unique experience for guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and make memories naturally!

     

    Overlooking the Ohio River near historic downtown Madison, Indiana, Clifty Inn is located within the beautiful Clifty Falls State Park. The Inn features 71 guest rooms, the Falls Restaurant, an indoor pool, and banquet/conference space.

    Role Overview:

    Responsible for preparing food for the restaurant and banquets in a timely, professional manner while maintaining the highest standards in food quality. To give our guest 100% satisfaction by exceeding their expectations in good food and service. This is a second shift position.

    Salary Statement:

    The hourly rate for this position is $14.23/hr but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

     

    A Day in the Life:

    + Responsible for the production of foods listed on the daily prep sheet.

    + Responsible for the production of all foods for banquets and the dining room.

    + Use proper food preparation safety standards in cooking, preparing, serving, storing and re-heating.

    + Responsible for maintaining the highest standards in food quality.

    + Working knowledge of all kitchen equipment and tools.

    + Responsible for setting up, replenishing and breaking down the hot buffet.

    + Assistance in dish room as needed.

    + Knowledge and use of proper opening and closing procedures, including taking trash out and putting in compactor after your shift.

    + Know and use all safety precautions.

    + Be professional and friendly to guest inquiries.

    + Responsible for the appearance of the food bar and plated food.

    + Maintain a clean and neat work area.

    + Anticipating guests needs.

    What You'll Need for Success:

    + Minimum 1 year line cook experience

    + Able to operate equipment such as slicer, mixer and dish machine in a safe manner

    + Able to work variable shifts and days

    + Clean and neat appearance

    + Competent to follow emergency procedures

    + Above average interpersonal skills

    + Strong planning and organizational abilities

    + Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds while twisting and walking

    + Able to work for extended periods of time standing/moving in above average temperatures

    + Serve-Safe certified or the ability to obtain such certification

    + No degree is required to fill this position.

    Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

    This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
